With over 300 stores (and growing) across Southern Africa, Cashbuild identified several critical in-store processes that were still being handled manually and offline. These workflows were labour-intensive, time-consuming, and increasingly prone to human error — creating operational inefficiencies and scaling challenges for a business of its size.

Transforming manual workflows into smart, scalable digital systems
To help Cashbuild modernise and scale its in-store operations, Clickmod designed and developed a robust, enterprise-grade web portal and a mobile application tailored for use across all store locations.
The system empowers in-store staff to complete key operational tasks directly within the app. Each action taken by staff, whether stock-related, process-driven, or administrative, is instantly and securely integrated with Cashbuild’s SAP backend in real time. This eliminated the delays and inaccuracies of manual, paper-based workflows.
Internal processing times, which previously took several days, have been dramatically reduced to just minutes. This has enabled faster turnaround across multiple store-level processes and allowed for quicker decision-making at all levels of the business.
Each operational workflow within the system is tracked automatically against a defined service-level agreement (SLA). This real-time SLA tracking not only improves accountability but also ensures that bottlenecks are quickly identified and addressed, helping to increase overall responsiveness.
Built with a scalable architecture, the solution supports hundreds of store locations and is designed to grow alongside the business. This ensures that as Cashbuild continues to expand its footprint across Southern Africa, the platform can easily be rolled out to new stores without disruption.
Finally, the system is deeply integrated into Cashbuild’s SAP environment. This seamless integration ensures that data captured by the app flows directly into the company’s core ERP, eliminating duplicate data entry and minimising the risk of human error.
